What is Broncho Stop Cough Syrup and what is it used for?
Traditional herbal medicinal product used for the relief of coughs, such as chesty coughs and dry, tickly, irritating coughs and catarrh, based on traditional use only.
Traditionally used to relieve any cough. Thyme herb extract is used for chesty, mucus, and catarrh cough while marshmallow root extract is used for dry and tickly cough.
How does Broncho Stop Cough Syrup work?
Broncho Stop Cough Syrup marshmallows root dry extract creates a soothing film on the throat which relieves throat irritation, soothes inflammation and reduces the urge to cough. Honey soothes throat irritation and protects the throat to help it recover.
Alternatives to Broncho Stop Cough Syrup
Examples of alternative treatments include:
- Day and Night Nurse Capsules or Liquid
- Sudafed Decongestant Tablets
- Actifed Tablets
If you have been taking any cold and flu treatment for 5 days and have not noticed an improvement to your cough or your condition has worsened you should speak to a doctor for advice.
Broncho Stop Cough Syrup dosage
This product is for oral use only. Broncho Stop is NOT suitable for children under the age of 12.
Adults, the elderly, and children over the age of 12: Using the measuring cup provided, 15 ml of syrup to be taken every 4 hours, 4 times per day. If required, up to a maximum of 6 doses (90ml) can be taken per day.
Broncho Stop Cough Syrup ingredients:
Active ingredients: Each 15 ml of Oral Syrup contains active ingredients: 120 mg of Extract (as Dry Extract) from Thyme Herb (Thymus Vulgaris L. and Thymus Zygis L., Herb) (DER 7-13:1).
Extraction Solvent: Water, 830 mg of Extract (as Liquid Extract) from Marshmallow Root (Althaea Officinalis L.) (DER 12-14:1).Other ingredients: Methyl Parahydroxybenzoate and Propyl Parahydroxybenzoate

Like all medicines, Broncho Stop Cough Syrup can cause side effects, although not everybody will experience them. If you experience any of the following, discontinue using this product and seek advice from your doctor:
- Swelling of the lips, tongue, face, or throat
- Severe and potentially life-threatening reactions, with symptoms that may include feeling lightheaded or faint, breathing difficulties, wheezing, a fast heartbeat, skin rash, confusion, and anxiety, or loss of consciousness
- Difficulty swallowing or breathing
- Skin rash
- Stomach disorders.
If you are concerned about any side effects you should speak to a doctor or pharmacist as soon as possible for advice.

- If you have an underlying medical problem or are taking any other medicine or complementary therapy make sure you speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this product. If your symptoms get worse or continue after taking this product, contact your doctor.
