Daktarin powder 20g dosage

Daktarin powder can be used by children and adults of all ages, including babies.

Daktarin should be applied in the morning and at night using the 3 step method detailed above. You must carry on using the powder for 10 days, even if your symptoms have cleared up. This is to prevent the infection coming back.

If your skin does not improve within 10 days of using Daktarin powder you should speak to a doctor or pharmacist for further advice.

Daktarin powder is for external use only and should be applied directly to the infected skin and surrounding area.

This medication is easy to use following these 3 steps:

1. Wash and dry the infected area and dry gently.
2. Sprinkle the powder directly onto the infected skin and surrounding skin. You can also choose to sprinkle the powder into your socks, shoes and clothes that come into contact with the infected areas.
3. Wash your hands thoroughly after applying to prevent the spread of the infection.

Daktarin powder ingredients

The active ingredient in Daktarin powder is: Miconazole nitrate, each 1 gram contains 20 milligrams.

Daktarin powder also contains: Talc and zinc oxide.

Daktarin powder side effects

Like all medication, Daktarin powder can cause unwanted side effects. Most of which will improve once you stop using the product. If however, side effects continue if you become concerned you should speak to a doctor or pharmacist.

You may experience some local irritation, rash, redness, itching at the site of application especially if you have applied the powder to rare areas of skin.

If you experience a severe allergic reaction when using Daktarin powder you should seek immediate medical advice from your nearest emergency department.

• Daktarin powder is for external use only. If you accidentally swallow any of this product, go to your nearest emergency department immediately.
• Be careful when applying Daktarin powder not to inhale this product. Daktarin powder contains talc, which if inhaled can irritate your airway.
• Fungal infections are contagious and are easily spread to other areas of skin or to other people. Make sure to wash your hands thoroughly after use and do not share Daktarin powder.
• You should seek advice from a doctor or pharmacist, if you are using any other medication, before using Daktarin powder.
